150 Followers Giveaway!

I've reached another milestone and I want to celebrate that with a giveaway. There are a lot of great books being published this October and I want to treat my followers to one of the ones I'm most looking forward to reading.

I am giving ONE lucky winner the opportunity to choose ONE of the following books from The Book Depository:

These are all books I want badly and for some crazy reason (well, my mammoth TBR pile!), instead of buying them for myself, I'm buying one for one of you.

This giveaway is open internationally, as long as The Book Depository ships to you. The only requirement is that you leave a comment, stating which book you want, but you can get more entries by following and tweeting. Fill out the Rafflecopter form below:

Waiting on Wednesday #4

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill @ Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

My WoW pick for this week is:

Magic Under Stone by Jaclyn Dolamore

For star-crossed lovers Nimira and Erris, there can be no happily ever after until Erris is freed from the clockwork form in which his soul is trapped. And so they go in search of the sorcerer Ordorio Valdana, hoping he will know how to grant Erris real life again. When they learn that Valdana has mysteriously vanished, it's not long before Nimira decides to take matters into her own hands—and begins to study the sorcerer's spell books in secret. Yet even as she begins to understand the power and limitations of sorcery, it becomes clear that freeing Erris will bring danger—if not out-and-out war—as factions within the faerie world are prepared to stop at nothing to prevent him from regaining the throne.

Released in: April 2012

WoW because: This is the second Jaclyn Dolamore book I've picked, but this is the one I've been waiting most for - the sequel to Magic Under Glass. The first book was a fantasy steam-punk retelling of Jane Eyre - what part of that doesn't sound fabulous? However, the ending was unsatisfying, so this second book should fix that. I'm loving the idea of Nimira using the sorcerer's spell books and discovering the magic she can do.

Waiting on Wednesday

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill @ Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

My first WoW post, but I learned about a new book this week that I'm eagerly waiting for. I was thinking about my favourite books of last year and Jaclyn Dolamore's Magic Under Glass was one of them. I decided to see whether or not she had any new books coming out and lucky for me, she does:

Between the Sea and the Sky by Jaclyn Dolamore

For as long as Esmerine can remember, she has longed to join her older sister, Dosinia, as a siren—the highest calling a mermaid can have. When Dosinia runs away to the mainland, Esmerine is sent to retrieve her. Using magic to transform her tail into legs, she makes her way unsteadily to the capital city. There she comes upon a friend she hasn't seen since childhood—a dashing young man named Alandare, who belongs to a winged race of people. As Esmerine and Alandare band together to search for Dosinia, they rekindle a friendship . . . and ignite the emotions for a love so great, it cannot be bound by sea, land, or air.

WoW because: I have a weakness for mermaid tales and the mythology of this one sounds really interesting and this book should tide me over until Dolamore releases Magic Under Stone.
