In My Mailbox #24

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme created by Kristi @ The Story Siren. All links go to the Book Depository UK. 

I treated myself this week (actually, I treated myself last week, but the package got held up and only arrived a few days ago). I decided to finally ignore the cost and focus on the pretty and buy myself the complete hardcover boxset for The Wolves of Mercy Falls series:

The only one I haven't read yet is Forever, which I am saving for the day I go on Christmas break. I don't usually buy hardcovers because of cost/size and because some books might not be released in hardback, leaving you with a mis-matched set. But when a trilogy is perfectly matching, and the covers are so pretty, and all the books are written in different-coloured ink, well, that combination of factors proved impossible to resist.

    I love this series. :D Forever is a fantastic ending to it.

    I did not treat myself this week because I has no monies, BUT I'll be getting around 20 books over Thanksgiving, so that's okay.

    One of my favourite series! I picked up a paperback copy of Shiver and Linger, but couldn't wait for Forever to come out in paperback so I now have an mismatched set :(. Maybe I'll have to treat myself as well :)

    It's a sign of a really good book that after reading it you seek out the hardback, to get a series where so much thought's gone into the hardback is rare. These look fanastic, I'm sure you'll treasure them for ever!

    Oh I really enjoyed this series. HOpe you like Forever. It's a good book but I found it ended too unfinished - you'll see what I mean.

    I've only read Shiver, so I really need to read the rest of the series. And I've always thought that the different colored ink was pretty awesome. :) Enjoy your books!
